Different types of Search Engine:
1) Description-is a program that allows you to search the Internet for information.
2) A hit describe when a search engine finds a match on the Internet.
3) A regular search engine, like Google or Yahoo!, searches the Internet based on a given search term and order them by relevance.
4) Relevance: how close the hit is to your actual search term.
5) A meta search engine, searches many search engines at the same time.
