BASIC COMPUTING KEY TERMS

Computer: A programmable machine that inputs, processes, andoutputs data.
Data: information.
Input: Put in infomation.
Processing: Changing, editing, interpreting information.
Output: Put out information.
Input Device: Devices that allow a user to input information/commands into the computer(i.e. keyboard).
Output Device: Devices that output information from the computer(i.e. monitor).
Digital: Computers turn data into digital information that a computer can process.
Binary Code: The digital language a computer uses. Use 1's(on) and 0's(off).
